Most of your ideal clients aren’t ready to throw their money at you yet
In fact, many of them don’t even know you exist... which is why you need to plan content that tickles their fancy at various stages of the journey during which they learn to trust you enough to buy from you when the time is right (for them, not for you).
Some people are already comparing providers. Others know something in their business isn’t working, but haven’t figured out what the problem is yet. And some are happily carrying on with a problem that’s costing them money because nobody has helped them notice it.
Those people aren’t all going to respond to the same “book a call” post.
Save this for content planning
Eugene Schwartz cottoned onto this a long, long time ago, way before your favourite LinkedIn guru started pretending this framework was their own.
Anyway, I happen to know how to write for all these stages because I earned my writing and marketing stripes way before AI was a thing you could use to fake expertise.
It’s also what I work through with clients in my Mind Map sessions. We look at their positioning, the people they want to reach, what their competitors are saying, and what their content needs to do at each stage. Then I turn that research into a strategy and a full content calendar they can actually use.
The feedback has been rather lovely. Michelle Peters told me, “I know that I made a great choice to consult with you.”
Dr. Leslie Castro-Woodhouse opened her strategy document and replied, “This is SO much more than I expected to receive.”
And Samir Malak said the way I’d articulated his ideas made it “so clear and easy to focus and find direction to move in. I was blown away.”
So I’m opening four Mind Map places for October at £600 each, before the price goes up to £780. That includes the session, your personalised strategy, competitor research and a full content calendar.
If you’ve been posting when inspiration strikes and hoping the right people happen to be ready to buy that day, get yourself booked onto one of myfour Mind Map places available during October.
For the independently minded. There's a lot I want to say about what AI is doing to the way we write and think, and I don't always want to squeeze it into a LinkedIn post. Subscribe to Thinkbait for my longer essays and occasional rants on human creativity and independent thinking, and on how we communicate what we know so other people can recognise our expertise.
